Despite a shocking start, Euclid successfully demonstrated the operation of our UltraFast Pulser (UFP) on a JEOL NEOARM. The 200 kV Schottky FEG instrument was equipped with a CEOS aberration corrector and a STEM setup.

The team was able to show the addition of the UFP maintains the spatial resolution, corrector and STEM performance as can be seen from the above STEM image with the UFP mounted on the column, but not turned on. Impressively, the UFP also demonstrated sub-picosecond pulses. We look forward to continuing this work with JEOL on providing advanced instrumentation capabilities for customers worldwide.

Special thanks to the entire JEOL team, especially those from the R&D division who were gracious hosts and determined to see the factory test succeed.
